Target: classmates and friends(university students) /office workers

Number of respondents: 10

【Summary】

They answered 9 questions about part-time job.

【Results】

★Graph#1 shows that 10 all people have experienced part-time job. These results are not surprising and as expected.

★Graph#2 shows that most people have experienced working in restaurants(eating and drinking) as a part-time job. As I expected, it is one of the most popular and easiest part-time job working.

★Graph#3 shows that most people think that working part-time three days a week suits for their life style. I think that most university students, in particular, work two days on the weekends and one day on a weekday.

★Graph#4 shows that the common answer was that working 4~6 hours a day, 3~4 days a week suited their lifestyle. 

There were two main opinions regarding this question. The first was that people wanted to work short hours several times a week, while the second was that working long hours one or two days a week was best. I was surprised to see that people had different ideal working styles.

★Graph#5 shows that most people want to start working at 10:00 am. Most people said that working not too early, but not too late in the afternoon, suits them best, and I also agree with that opinions.

★Graph#6 shows that the time when people want to work part-time jobs varies from person to person. In particular, because I asked people who are office workers to respond, some of the data included was from quite some time ago, not just the recent past.

★Graph#7 shows that most people use the money that earned from part-time job for playing with friends. Some people use money for beauty, buying new things and hobby. I was surprised to know that some people were saving the money they earned from part-time jobs.

★List#8 shows that diverse range of opinions were expressed for good/positive point for part-time job. 
The main categories are: for money, for experience (to learn communication skills, business, etc.), and for time management (to kill time, etc.).

★List#9 shows that some people has complain to part-time job working. In particular, hardworking, low salary and stress for boss are main dissatisfied points for people. There are some people who are satisfied with their part-time jobs and had no complains.

【Conclusion】

This survey resulted in interesting answers. I learned that people have different preferred hours and days of the week to work, and that people have different variety of motivations for part-time job. Whatever the purpose, part-time work experience is valuable, so I believe that it's important to try part-time work in a variety of industries.
